Rave Reviews From Rainbow Reviews
Current mood:
ecstatic
Hi everyone,
I just received notification of a five star review for Phantom Lover from Rainbow Reviews and a Four Star Review for Fly Me to the Moon.
Of course I am thrilled!
On Phantom Lover: Five Stars and a "Read This Book" alert:
A.J. Llewellyn does a wonderful job of presenting true Hawai'ian society
while seamlessly blending in a story of true, scorching hot man/man love. This
book was hot and compelling and I had a very hard time putting it down.
Llewellyn makes me want to go learn more about Hawaiian culture and mythology.
On Fly Me to the Moon - winner of the P&E Poll cover art of the year:
Four Stars and a "Read This Book" alert:
Llewellyn has taken the twelve days of Christmas and put a new face to it. I
will never look at the song and each individual day the same way ever again.
The cleaver way Lopaka approached each day was very cleaver and very
entertaining. The love between Lopaka and Kimo was both beautiful and fun.
I loved how Hawaiian lore was used to enhance and supplement the plotline. Kimo and Lopaka's special powers added to this overall effect. I will be looking for other stories about Kimo and Lopaka, two men who fill the world with laughter, love and the sheer enjoyment of life.
Reviews like these sure make up for all those hours we writers spend staring at a computer screen, filling it with our images and ideas, wondering if we're kidding ourselves...at least I do!
Aloha oe,
A.J.
