When Your Muse Jumps Ship...

Current mood: fabulous

Hi Everyone,

I rarely blog to post excerpts or covers but this is something special. My Phantom Lover series is taking an excting turn in the new year and Kimo and Lopaka go to Scotland to rid their family of an ancient curse...Diura is completed (publishing 3.15.09) and I have been patiently waiting for a cover as I type furiously to produce the next book in the series, The Cannibal King's Husband (coming to eXtasy Books May 15).

My stunning cover artist Martine Jardin (rather testily) told me whining and pleading don't work. Neither do food bribes. She is trying to finish up 2008 covers and she told me, "Don't hold your breath, mister."

Hmmph. I was rather gorgeous about waiting I thought, considering I am a total cover whore...and this morning, my darling Kimo wandered out of my brain and into hers, demanding she give him his kilt. She stumbled (in her underpants, according to her) to the computer and produced this gorgeous cover. She put Kimo in a kilt, gave us a lovely full frontal shot, a little bit of treasure trail and even got the castle in the background.

Why does she always hide his best bits??? And Martine, please send him home. I miss his voice in my brain!

Aloha oe,

AJ
